Improving Serve Receive: Vision Drills

Improving your team’s service receive passing skills would, without a doubt, make any team better. Something that you might not have considered is the importance of vision in serve receive and how to train to improve vision.

In the video below Walt Ker, founder and coach of Legacy Volleyball Club and three-time national championship coach will show you how he gives tools to his players to help their vision. Coach Ker stresses the ball must first hit the sweet spot and then the ball must be passed to the target. This will happen more often if the head is still (thus the eyes are still). He believes the three most important things in serve receive: Vision, Vision, and Vision
